THE VINEYARDS
Autumn Creek Vineyards is located in Northwestern Rockingham County. The vineyard currently consists of nine French Viniferia varieties: Merlot, Chambourcin, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Riesling, Viognier, Pinot Grigio, Pinot Noir and Petite Manseng. We chose to plant French Varietals because the soil, climate, and altitude were conducive for growing these grapes. Our first planting was in 2003 consisting of one acre of Merlot and a half an acre of Chambourcin. We now have a little over 14 acres and our goal is to continue to expand the vineyard!
Below are some pictures of the Autumn Creek vineyards in stages.
